Olympic finalist Ruth Usoro delivered a strong performance at the Jarvis Scott Invitational, leaping 6.65m in her final attempt to secure second place in the women’s long jump, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The mark stands as the second farthest jump recorded by a Nigerian athlete this season and represents Usoro’s Season’s Best.

It also marks her longest leap in the past two years, underlining a significant return to top form.

Usoro, an Olympic finalist, produced the decisive effort in her last attempt, showcasing composure and technical precision under pressure to climb into the podium positions.

In the same event, fellow Nigerian Grace Oshiokpu finished eighth with a best mark of 6.03m.

Meanwhile, Oghenefejiro Praise claimed victory in the B-category of the women’s long jump after posting a distance of 6.16m.
