Uzoho shines, as Omonia Nicosia outsmart AEL Limassol FC 3-2

Nigeria national team goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was exceptional for Omonia Nicosia football club of Cyprus, as they defeated AEL Limassol FC 3-2 in the week 30 of Cyprus 1st Division League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Deportivo La Coruna football club of Spain shot stopper retained his spot in his team's first eleven, and he was able to perform brilliantly in the game.

Francis Uzoho started ahead of Cyprus goalkeepers Konstantinos Panagi, and Charalambos and he was able to prove himself by making a lot of saves.

Amadej Marosa opened scoring for the away team in the 7th minutes to end the first half of the game 1-0.

Fotis Papoulis equalized for the home team in the 49th minutes via a penalty kick, and Amadej Marosa put his team ahead again in the 61st minutes. Ernest Asante equalized for the home team in the 68th minutes before Marko Scepovic scored the winning goal in the 88th minutes to end the match 3-2.

Francis Uzoho was outstanding for the home team throughout the entire duration of the game, and he was able to make four great saves in the game.

The victory over AEL Limassol FC has now taken Omonia Nicosia football club to the 7th spot of the Cyprus Division 1 League table with 46 points from 30 matches played.
