VAR Complements Officiating In Galadima Football League- LOC Chairman

The chairman, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Galadima Football League, Engr Sulaiman Musa has said that using Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the tournament ease officiating challenges, reports BSNSports.com.ng.Â
Engr Musa stated this shortly after the end of the fourth quarter-final match between Clever Warriors and AA Zaura FC played at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata.
A statement signed by the competition's Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee, Ado Salisu, said the LOC boss revealed that the tournament has recorded a huge success.
He explained that using VAR, vanishing spray, and referee communication gadgets through out the quarter-final matches added value to the competition.
Engr Musa who doubles as the Proprietor of Inter-Tech Academy, said using technology, especially at local levels is not a big deal, rather a matter of commitment and determination.
''In all the quarter-finals matches played, no team complained of any wrongdoing from match officials as in any doubts, the referees communicate between themselves and in some cases uses VAR,'' as a way forward he said.
The chairman assured Kano people that goal-line technology will be used in the subsequent editions as all necessary arrangements are in place towards importing the gadgets from Europe.
While expressing appreciation to Alh Dr Ibrahim Galadima for his unflinching support, he called on the people of the state to continue to rally around the organisers toward the success of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Junior Kano Pillars FC will lock horns with Greater Tomorrow while Clever Warriors will ambush Kano Stars FC in the first and second semi-finals scheduled to hold at Sani Abacha Stadium.
Before reaching the semi-final, Junior Kano Pillars defeated Samba Kurna FC 1-0, Kano Stars beat Soccer Striker 2-0, Clever Warriors pipped AA Zaura 2-1 and Greater Tomorrow FC scale through the last four on protest after losing 4-0 to Super Star Sheka FC.
