Vacate Sunday Dankaro Or Face The Consequence - Chairman Task Force Threatens NFF President

By Niyi Busari

The Chairman, Project 2022 Task Force of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Harrison Jalla, has warned the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick to honourably resign or face the consequence of his actions.

Reacting to the communique released after the NFF's Exco Meeting, Jalla stated that it is disrespect to 200 million Nigerians . He argued that Pinnick is occupying the NFF Headquarters illegally adding that the Supreme Court judgement confirmed that the Board is in contempt of Court.

"The so-called communique issued by the NFF on Tuesday the 5th of April is nothing but gross disrespect to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an insult to over 200 million Nigerians World wide who thronged the MKO Abiola stadium and those who stayed glued to their Television sets in the two legged encounter between Nigeria and Ghana to honour a country they all hope will return to its glorious days of being a great football Nation.

The Pinnick led NFF must be taking an undue advantage of the magnanimity of President Muhammadu Buhari. What is it that the federal government did not do to support the NFF? What is that Nigerians did not to support the NFF? This is a Board that lost the Nations cup back to back in 2015 and 2017 and failed to qualify in all FIFA age grade competitions. And again has failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A Board that killed all tiers of the Domestic leagues in Nigeria. There is also the alleged stolen Billions of Naira and several millions of United States Dollars of sponsorship funds and FIFA grants. This Same group had the effontery to issue a communique talking about vacating a court order. The NFF may really want to expose themselves to Nigerians the more.

"Is the Amaju Pinnick led Board really in office in the eyes of the law? There are subsisting suppressed Judgments from the supreme court and the Federal High Court Jos that the current Pinnick Board is in contempt of. All Pinnick and his cohorts needs to do now to allow peace to reign is to vacate the Sunday Dankaro House fortwith. This has nothing to do with the Federal government of Nigeria the current situation is beyond Hon. Minister Sunday Dare. This is an issue purely for football stakeholders and the Minister having not been proactive and demonstrated capacity to avoid the catastrophic situation we found ourselves today should stay clear for Nigeria football stakeholders to resolve their internal problems themselves. The message to Amaju Pinnick led Board is clear and unambiguous to vacate the Sunday Dankaro House by tendering their resignation letters or face the consequences of their actions or inactions. This current situation cannot be smoothened over by faceless apology to Nigerians. Enough of Visionless leaders for Nigeria Football.
