Carlos Corberan, the manager of Spanish La Liga side Valencia, has commended Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar for his impressive performance during his Copa Del Rey debut in their victory over Eldense, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Valencia triumphed over Eldense on Tuesday night, with Umar making his first appearance for the team in the second half.

After the match, Corberan spoke highly of Umar’s mentality and attitude, noting that he has been a valuable addition to the squad.

 "From the very first day, he has displayed the right attitude and mentality required to play for Valencia CF," Corberan said.

 "Anyone who joins must bring that level of commitment and the intention to contribute. Today was his first step, and he showed the necessary attitude for this moment."
