Valencia Targets Umar Sadiq Again In January Window
Ibrahim Lateef
Valencia CF is reportedly interested in signing Umar Sadiq from Real Sociedad in the upcoming January transfer window, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.
The Super Eagles striker has struggled for playing time this season, totalling only 92 minutes, leading to a lack of faith from his coach, Sergio Francisco, who favours other forwards over him.
Valencia attempted to sign Sadiq last summer but failed to reach an agreement, leading them to acquire Lucas Beltrán, who has not performed well.
With plans to improve their squad, Valencia considers Sadiq as a key target, especially after his decent end to last season, where he scored 6 goals in 19 games while on loan.
While no negotiations are currently in play, both clubs recognize that a loan deal could be beneficial, as Sadiq is under contract with Real Sociedad until June 2028, and they hope to recoup some of the €20 million spent on him.
