Victor Eletu Yet To Hit Flying Eagles Camp

AC Milan of Italy's new kid on the block and Nigeria prodigy, Victor Eletu is yet to hit the Flying Eagles camp in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ahead of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, writes BSNSports.com.ng.

In a chat with one of the team's officials in Argentina on Saturday afternoon, BSN Sports can reveal that the defensive midfielder is still being expected by the coaching crew.

"No, Victor Eletu has not arrived in Argentina." The official who pleaded anonymity told BSN Sports.

"We are still expecting him." He added.

Flying Eagles on Friday night defeated Argentina Second Division Club, Almirante Brown 3-2 in their first warm-up game ahead of the group D opener against Dominican Republic on 21st May.

Before then, the two times World Cup finalists will engage Colombia U20 national team in an international friendly game at 8pm Nigerian time.

The 2015 African champions are in group D with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil.

20 Flying Eagles players aside Eletu departed Nigeria for Argentina enroute Istanbul, Turkey last Saturday and arrived at Buenos Aires on Sunday. Ladan Bosso, the head coach and other technical crew have started drilling the players since Monday for them to be physically and mentally ready for the task ahead.
