Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will miss Galatasaray SK’s final Turkish Super Lig match of the season against Kasımpaşa SK after receiving his fifth yellow card of the campaign during Saturday night’s victory over Antalyaspor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite the suspension setback, Osimhen played a decisive role as Galatasaray secured the league title following an entertaining 4-2 comeback win at home.

The Super Eagles forward scored twice in the encounter, helping Galatasaray overturn deficits on two occasions to clinch a fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig crown in dramatic fashion.

Osimhen’s brace further underlined his importance to the Istanbul giants throughout the campaign, with the Nigerian continuing his impressive scoring form in Turkey since joining the club.

The title triumph marks Osimhen’s second Turkish league championship with Galatasaray and adds another major honour to his growing career achievements.

Galatasaray will now conclude their season away to fellow Istanbul side Kasımpaşa next Sunday, although Osimhen will play no part due to suspension.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign and remains one of the standout performers in the Turkish top flight. His goals have been instrumental in Galatasaray’s successful title defence and continued domestic dominance.

Recent reports in Turkish and European media have also linked Osimhen with several top clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with interest reportedly coming from teams in the Premier League, Serie A and the Saudi Pro League.

Galatasaray’s latest title success further strengthens the club’s position as the most successful side in Turkish football history, while Osimhen’s performances continue to enhance his reputation as one of Africa’s leading forwards.
