Victor Osimhen Fumes Over Finidi George's Allegations

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen did a live video lambasting coach Finidi George after the coach allegedly criticised him for not representing the national team, suggesting he wasn't really injured, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Napoli star missed Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic due to injury concerns. 

According to reports, George allegedly questioned Osimhen’s dedication, stating he would not beg players to join the team.

Osimhen addressed the issue in an Instagram live session, asserting that he has always given his all for the Super Eagles and had informed Finidi about his injury before the matches.

"Everyone knows I play my heart out for both club and country. I won’t allow anyone to disrespect me or tarnish my name. Whether Finidi’s comments are true or not, I will share our video conversation, pictures, and screenshots on my Instagram story because I won’t tolerate any disrespect.

"I’ve lost respect for him. I asked to join the Super Eagles camp to support my teammates, but he told me to stay with my family. I have a video of our conversation."
