Victor Osimhen’s Teammate Duped of ₦353 million fortune

Galatasaray striker Michy Batshuayi, a teammate of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, has revealed that he fell victim to a scam in Turkey, losing a large sum of money.
The Belgian player was allegedly defrauded of $212,000 (around ₦353 million) by an individual who promised to arrange housing and a vehicle for him. Batshuayi had entrusted a consultant, named H.B., to handle a six-month rent payment and secure a vehicle in Besiktas. However, neither the accommodation nor the vehicle materialized, prompting Batshuayi to file an official complaint.
Authorities detained H.B., who was later presented in court and released under judicial supervision. Despite his release, investigations into the case are ongoing as Batshuayi seeks justice for the financial and personal inconvenience caused by the scam.
Although Batshuayi has not publicly commented on the situation, the investigation aims to recover the defrauded funds.
This season, the former Chelsea and Valencia forward has been a sporadic starter for Galatasaray, making most of his appearances off the bench, yet still managing to score five goals and provide two assists in 17 matches across all competitions.
