Victor Osimhen shortlisted for Serie A Player of the Month Award

High flying Victor Osimhen has been nominated for Serie A Player of the Month award for February, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 24-year-old Super Eagles forward who has been in a sensational form for the Serie A runaway leaders this season has been nominated for the award he won last month after bagging five goals in four league games in February.

Osimhen who is in fine form after the World Cup scored 10 league goals with 5 coming in the month of January as he leads the goal scoring chart of the Italian top flight with 19 goals from 20 league games.

Having won the player of the month for January, the Nigerian is set to clinch a second player of the month crown back to back, something he has failed to do since his arrival in Italy three years ago.

Alongside Osimhen in the list of nominees is his teammate Kvaratskahelia who scored three goals from four games last month, Juventus's Angel Di Maria, Miranchuk of Torino and Lecce's Baschirotto.

Also, Victor Osimhen is on the brink of history, the Super Eagles forward is on the verge of breaking Christiano Ronaldo's record of scoring in eight consecutive games as Napoli welcome Lazio at home on Friday night.
