The President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has allegedly threatened to use State governors against the 28 Chairmen that wanted to pass vote of no confidence on the Federation.

Amaju Pinnick, the first NFF President to spend two terms in office had declared that he would not contest for the same position for the Third Term adding that he needs to devote more time to his family.

The 28 FA Chairmen who had in two different occasions sent signed notice (with their pictures attached) on the Federation decided to meet in Abuja today to continue the process of passing vote of no confidence on the Board.

BSN Sports gathered that the embattled NFF President, Amaju Pinnick since yesterday (Thursday) has been threatening some of the FA Chairmen to either withdraw or report them to their respective State governors.

One of the 28 Chairmen who spoke with BSN Sports on condition of anonymity said, "Pinnick called me and threatened that I should not be part of the 28 Chairmen and if i do, he will use my State governor against me.

He continued, "Other FA Chairmen also told me same thing but we see it as a gimmick and as a way to reduce our huge number. His plans to play on our intelligent had been revealed eben before the threats. So, it is not enough to stop us from concluding the process we have started." He said.
