WAFCON 2022: I'm Proud Of My Players - Waldrum

Following the semi-final defeat to the host Atlas Lioness of Morocco, head coach of Nigeria's Super Falcons Randy Waldrum has said is proud of his players, BSNsports.com.ng report.

Despite playing a 2-man down Falcons only lost out 5-4 via penalty shootout to the Moroccan after 120 minutes of action.

The American gaffer said they wanted to win the game but the red cards changes the whole situation.

 â€œWe wanted to win the game, not just the World Cup ticket. Our substitutions were spot on and we can’t ask for more from the players, they gave their best.” 

“We (Coaches) can’t comment on officiating, we will get into trouble.”

“We were in control of the game until after the first red card, then the second red card, I will put it this way.”

I'm proud of the girls tonight," he said.
