WAFCON 2022: Oparanozie Hails Super Falcons Despite Loss To Morocco

Wuhan of China striker Desire Oparanozie has heaped praises on her Super Falcons teammates for their gallant performance in the African Women Cup Nations semi-final clash against host Morocco in Rabat, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Despite being absent from the team due to border restrictions, Oparanozie has been part of the team in spirit since the start of the competition.

The Moroccan Atlas Lionesses had to rely on penalty shootout to dethrone nine times champions Super Falcons despite playing 2-man down.

Oparanozie in her reactions praised the spirit of the players for standing against the test of time 

"True definition of the Naija spirit. You gave and left everything out there on the pitch, against all odds. I couldn't be more proud of this team #TheSuperFalcons," she said.

The team will now lock horns against Zambia in the bronze medal game.
