The Football Association of Zambia ( FAZ) has decided to launch an official protest against their defeat to South Africa in the semi-final of the ongoing African Women's Nations Cup in Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng report.

The Shepolopolo lost through a controversial late minute penalty to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the semi-final.

What transpired in the game has generated a lot of agitation across the world following the controversial penalty that was awarded to South Africa which decided the winners of the important tie.

The football governing body in Zambia has protested against the decision of the referee and demanded that the game be replayed.

The odds have been against the Zambian side since the start of the competition losing some key players of the team and players from the U20 team were drafted into a cover-up.

" The deck was stacked against us even before we came to Morocco for the WAFCON. We came without our best players, as you know, we had to draft players from the U20 team and now this.

"It's just too much and it's so unfair," he said.
