Nigeria’s Super Falcons capped off their “Mission X” campaign in spectacular fashion, clinching their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title with a thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over hosts Morocco on Saturday in Rabat, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Playing at the Olympic Stadium, the Atlas Lionesses dominated the first half, taking an early lead in the 8th minute through Ghizlane Chebbak. Their advantage was doubled midway into the half as Sanaâ Mssoudy struck to make it 2-0, leaving the Falcons with a mountain to climb at the break.

Nigeria roared back in the second half with renewed determination. The introductions of Rinsola Babajide and Jennifer Echeginni transformed the game, sparking the comeback.

Esther Okoronkwo pulled one back from the penalty spot after a Moroccan defender handled the ball in the box, before Ijamilusi leveled the score midway through the half.

The decisive moment came late on when Echeginni fired home the winner, sealing a famous victory and delivering the Super Falcons their record-extending 10th WAFCON title.
