Just 48 hours before their highly anticipated Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final clash against Nigeria, the Moroccan camp has been hit with a major injury concern, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Atlas Lionesses, who edged out Ghana’s Black Queens via a tense penalty shootout after 120 minutes of football, may be without one of their key players, Fatima Tagnaout.

Tagnaout was brought on during extra time against Ghana but had to be stretchered off in tears just minutes later, four minutes before the shootout began.

Her availability for the final remains uncertain as she undergoes further medical assessments.

The team’s medical staff is reportedly working tirelessly to ensure she recovers in time for the showdown against the Super Falcons.
