Super Falcons coach, Justin Madugu, has assured Nigerians that the team will deliver a much-improved performance when they face Zambia in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria, who topped Group B despite an unconvincing goalless draw in their final group match, will now take on the Shepolopolo of Zambia in a crucial knockout fixture.

Speaking after the group stage, Madugu acknowledged the team’s inconsistency and offered an apology to fans.

“I want to apologize to our dear countrymen and women. I understand the expectations Nigerians always want victory. We did everything possible to win, but it didn’t work out as planned. However, we promise to improve in the games ahead,” he stated.
