Despite the competition being uncertain, the referee's department of the African soccer governing body has stipulated time for the selected referees and assistants to undergo training, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

CAF executive Patrice Motsepe is yet to give a green light on whether the 2024 Women's African Cup Nations will still take place this year.

The update coming from CAF headquarters in Cairo Egypt suggests that 49 referees and assistants including VAR have been invited to undergo compulsory training for the competition.

The training has been fixed for June 9-13, 2024.
