WAFCON 2024: We're Ready To Reclaim Our Crown – Gift

As the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) approaches, Super Falcons forward Monday Gift has expressed the team’s determination to reclaim their title, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The nine-time African champions lost their crown to South Africa’s Banyana Banyana after falling to Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses in the semifinals of the last edition.

Speaking to Punch, UDG Tenerife attacker Gift emphasized the importance of thorough preparation in ensuring success.

“The players are ready because we talk all the time. But it’s not just about mindset; preparation is key,” she said.

“With the right preparation and everything in place, we’ll be ready to reclaim our crown.”

Gift is expected to be part of the squad for the tournament, which will take place in Morocco.
