Zambia striker Racheal Kundananji has declared that the Copper Queens are fully prepared to face any opponent in the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Zambia wrapped up their Group A campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over DR Congo, securing their place in the knockout stage.

The result saw them finish second in the group with seven points—level with hosts Morocco but behind on goal difference.

The Copper Queens will now face the Group B winners, Nigeria’s Super Falcons, in the quarterfinal clash scheduled for July 18 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.

“We wanted to top the group, but unfortunately, we didn’t score enough goals. That said, we’re not bothered by our position we’re focused on the bigger goal,” Kundananji told FAZ Media.

The Bay FC forward has been in fine form, scoring in all three group games to become the first Zambian to net in three consecutive WAFCON matches.
