WAFCON 2026: Egypt Name Strong Squad For Super Falcons Clash, Open Camp Wednesday

The technical crew of the Egyptian women’s national team has unveiled a formidable squad ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) scheduled to take place in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The list was released by newly appointed head coach Mohamed Kamal as the North Africans intensify preparations for the continental showpiece.
According to the Egyptian Football Association, the invited players are expected to resume a closed training camp on Wednesday at the National Teams Center in 6th of October City.
The camping programme forms a critical part of the team’s build-up to the tournament.
The camp will feature an intensive training schedule, comprising progressive tactical drills and physical conditioning sessions aimed at putting the players in optimal competitive shape ahead of the championship.
Egypt have been drawn in Group C, where they will face Malawi, Zambia, and defending champions Nigeria.
The Nigerian senior women’s national team, popularly known as the Nigeria women's national football team, remain one of the favourites for the title.
With preparations now in full swing, Egypt will be hoping their early camping strategy pays dividends as they target a strong outing at WAFCON 2026.
