Senegal’s senior women’s national team will commence preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a training camp scheduled to run from April 7 to April 18, 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The camp is part of the team’s build-up to the continental tournament, which will be held in Morocco from July 25 to August 16, 2026.
According to officials, invited players are expected to report to camp on Tuesday as the coaching crew begins assessment and tactical preparations ahead of the competition.
The training exercise is expected to provide the technical team an opportunity to evaluate both home-based and foreign-based players, as well as fine-tune strategies for the tournament.
Senegal will be aiming to make a strong impression at WAFCON 2026 as they continue their push to establish themselves among Africa’s top women’s football nations.
