WAFU B Announces Commencement Date For Women Champions League

Ahead of the 2nd edition of the Women champion league qualifier, the West African Football Union ( WAFU) B has announced the date for the regional qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The football body on Tuesday announced August 13th to 26th as the date and Ivory Coast as the host of the qualifier.

Bayelsa Queens will represent Nigeria after they emerged the winner of this year's Super 6 in Benin City, Edo State.

Rivers Angels represented the country in the inaugural edition and reached the final of the regional qualifier before losing to Hassacass Ladies of Ghana.

The six participating teams are: Bayelsa Queens (Nigeria), Ampem Darkoa (Ghana), USFA ( Burkina Faso), Athleta De Lome ( Togo), Espoir ( Benin Republic) and host L'Africa Sports ( CIV) will compete for the honour.

The finalists will represent the region in the Champions League that will take place in Morocco in October, 2022
