Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa defeated Nigeria’s Edo Queens 2-1 in their final Group B fixture of the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ampem Darkoa secured all three points in a keenly contested encounter to finish top of Group B.

Edo Queens had entered the decisive fixture as group leaders but were unable to maintain their position after suffering the narrow defeat.

The result means Ampem Darkoa move into first place, while Edo Queens finish second following a fiercely contested group campaign.

The Ghanaian champions will now continue their quest for qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
