WAFU B Champions League Qualifiers: Bayelsa Queens Release Provisional Squad

Reigning Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Bayelsa Queens, have announced a 25-player provisional squad for the upcoming WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The squad, released by head coach Whyte Ogbonda, features a balanced mix of experienced and young talents as the team prepares to represent Nigeria in the regional tournament.

Bayelsa Queens secured their place in the competition after winning the NWFL title in May. The WAFU B qualifiers are scheduled to take place from August 9 to August 24, 2025, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

The eventual winner of the qualifiers will book a spot in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.

It’s worth noting that Edo Queens were crowned champions of the WAFU Zone B competition last year.
