The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has officially announced that the 2025 Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament will take place in Côte d’Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2025 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone B Qualifier is the 5th edition.

The competition is scheduled to run from Saturday, August 9 to Sunday, August 24, 2025, according to a statement released by the WAFU B Secretariat.

The qualifying tournament will bring together top women’s clubs from the WAFU B region, vying for a spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League, Africa’s premier women’s club competition.

Among the teams set to compete are Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, who recently secured the 2024/25 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) title. The Queens claimed the championship with an emphatic 4–1 victory over Naija Ratels on the final day of the Super 6 playoffs, held at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Representing Ghana will be the Police Ladies, champions of the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League. They will be making their debut in the qualifiers and become the third Ghanaian club to feature in the tournament’s history, joining Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

Edo Queens of Nigeria were the defending champions as Emem Peace emerged as the highest goal scorer with six goals.

The tournament winners qualify automatically for the 2025 CAF Women's Champions League final tournament.
