WAFU-B Qualifiers: Bayelsa Queens Departs For Cote D'Ivoire On Wednesday

Reigning champions of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Bayelsa Queens will depart Nigeria for Cote D'Ivoire for the CAF Women's Champions League, WAFU-B qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The team is expected to depart for Lagos on August 19th before leaving for Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire on August 20th, and then arrive Yamoussoukro, where they would play their games.
Under the tutelage of Whyte Ogbonda, the team has recruited new players comprising a rock-solid defenders, marshaled by the experienced and imposing centre-backs and a midfield of creativity and energy.
In Group B, Bayelsa Queens will compete against Police Ladies of Ghana, Association Sportive De La Kozah of Togo, and Sam Melly of the Benin Republic, all vying for a spot in the final.
The winner of the 2025 WAFU B Qualifiers will then secure a place in the CAF Women's Champions League group stage, representing the WAFU-B region.
