CAF West B Zone, also known as UFOA-B and WAFU B, will on Saturday, May 9, 2026, officially install its newly created commissions in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in what has been described as a historic moment for the regional football body, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The commissions were established following the 18th General Assembly held in Rabat as part of efforts to introduce a more professional governance structure within the West African football zone.

According to the organization, seven commissions have been created to strengthen the administration and institutional framework of UFOA-B.

The official installation ceremony will take place at the WAFU-B headquarters in Abidjan and is expected to mark a significant step toward modernizing the body’s operational system.

Each of the seven commissions is made up of one president and two members drawn from the federation’s seven member associations.

UFOA-B stated that the initiative is aimed at strengthening governance, professionalizing internal processes, improving coordination among member federations, and supporting the long-term development of football across the region.
