WAFU B U-17: Golden Eaglet's Opponent Ghana Face Final MRI Tests On Tuesday

Ahead of the West African Football Union (WAFU B) U-17 tournament, newly recruited Ghana Black Starlets are set to undergo final Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests on Tuesday, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Team head coach Kwesi Fabin was forced to invite new players to continue preparations for the tournament after more than half of the Black Starlets were dismissed from camp after failing the MRI test.

The sub-regional competition, which runs from June 11 to 24, features Benin, Togo, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, and hosts Ghana.

The Starlets will undergo MRIs, after which the final tournament squad will be announced.

According to the report, Ghana FA has implemented a strict policy under which the entire team would be disqualified if even one player failed the MRI test.

Ghana will kick off their campaign against Nigeria at the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday.
