WAFU B U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles Depart For Cote D’Ivoire

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have departed for Cote D’Ivoire ahead of the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria U-20 national team will be among the teams competing for honours at the regional tournament, which serves as the qualification pathway for the 2027 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be hosted by Ghana.

The Flying Eagles have been preparing extensively for the competition, with the technical crew aiming to secure a strong outing and book Nigeria’s place at the continental showpiece.

Nigeria, a record seven-time winner of the U-20 AFCON, will be hoping to use the WAFU B tournament as a platform to discover and develop more talents capable of representing the country at the highest level.

The championship is expected to feature some of the best U-20 teams from the West African region, with qualification for the African tournament serving as the ultimate target for all participating nations.
