WAFU B U17: Golden Eaglets Battle Ghana In Semi-Final After Burkina Faso Draw

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have booked a mouthwatering semi-final clash against Ghana in the ongoing WAFU B U17 Championship in the Ivory Coast, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The five-time world champions were held to a goalless draw by Burkina Faso’s Baby Stallions in their final Group B encounter on Saturday. It was a tightly contested affair, with both sides creating chances but failing to find the breakthrough.

Despite the stalemate, Nigeria finished top of Group B on superior goal difference, thanks to their resounding 4-1 victory over the Benin Republic in their opening fixture.

With the result, the Golden Eaglets will now square up against long-time rivals Ghana in what promises to be a thrilling semi-final showdown.

Meanwhile, Burkina Faso, which secured second place in the Semi-Final, will face the hosts, the Ivory Coast, in the other semi-final clash.
