Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets bounced back from their semi-final disappointment to claim the bronze medal at the ongoing U17 WAFU B Championship in Ivory Coast, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The five-time world champions suffered a 0-2 defeat to arch-rivals Ghana in the last four but showed resilience in Friday’s third-place playoff.

Against Burkina Faso, the Eaglets displayed composure and attacking sharpness, securing a 2-0 victory to wrap up their campaign on a positive note.

With the win, Nigeria finished third in the sub-regional competition, restoring some pride after missing out on a place in the final.
