WAFU B U17 Championship: Golden Eaglets Open Camp

Nigeria's U17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, have officially opened camp in preparation for the 2026 WAFU B U17 Boys Championship scheduled to hold in September, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The regional tournament will serve as the qualifying competition for the 2027 Africa U17 Cup of Nations, with participating teams aiming to secure places at the continental showpiece.
The Golden Eaglets' technical crew for the assignment will be led by head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere, who will oversee the team's preparations ahead of the crucial tournament.
He will be assisted by Olumide Ajibolade as the first assistant coach, while Mohammed Kachala has been appointed as the second assistant coach. Abdullahi Isa will serve as the goalkeepers' trainer.
The opening of camp marks the beginning of Nigeria's quest to secure qualification for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations, as the seven-time African champions look to return to the continental stage with a new generation of talented youngsters.
