WAFU B U20: Abdu Maikaba Unveils Flying Eagles Squad For Ivory Coast Tournament

Flying Eagles head coach Abdu Maikaba has unveiled his squad for the 2026 WAFU B U20 Championship scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian U20 national team will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Ghana on Monday in what promises to be a highly anticipated opening fixture.

Maikaba and his technical crew have selected a group of talented young players as Nigeria aim to defend their dominance in the regional competition and secure qualification for the next stage of the tournament.

The Flying Eagles are drawn in Group B alongside Ghana, Burkina Faso and Togo, setting up a challenging group phase for the seven-time African U20 champions.

Nigeria defeated Ghana in the final of the previous WAFU B U20 Championship and both teams will renew their rivalry as they battle for an early advantage in Yamoussoukro.
