Nigeria's Flying Eagles have received further recognition at the ongoing 2026 WAFU B U20 Championship after two of their players were named in the Team of the Group Stage, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tournament's Technical Study Group unveiled the Best XI following the conclusion of the group stage, rewarding players who delivered outstanding performances for their respective teams.

Flying Eagles duo Adeleke and Alfred earned places in the elite selection after impressing with their consistency, commitment, and impact during Nigeria's group stage campaign.

According to the Technical Study Group, the selected players distinguished themselves through their talent, dedication, and influence on the pitch.

Attention now shifts to the semi-finals, scheduled for Wednesday. Nigeria will take on hosts Côte d'Ivoire for a place in the final, while Burkina Faso will battle Niger in the other last-four fixture.
