Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have been drawn into a difficult Group A alongside arch-rivals Ghana and Benin for the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The tournament, which is set to take place from July 10 to 23, 2025, in Prampram, Ghana, promises an intense battle for semifinal qualification, with only two teams advancing from each group.
Group A brings together three traditional West African powerhouses in what is expected to be a fiercely contested group stage.
Group B also features a tough line-up, with Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo set to clash for the remaining semifinal spots.
Initially slated for June 15 to 30, 2025, the competition has been rescheduled to July 10–23. All matches will be played at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram, Ghana’s top football development hub.
