WAFU B U20: Flying Eagles On Revenge Mission Against Burkina Faso - Maikaba

Coach Abdu Maikaba believes his lads have the opportunity to avenge the group stage defeat to Burkina Faso on Sunday, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Flying Eagles, seven-time champions, battle the Young Stallions in the WAFU B U20 final at the Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro,

The Burkinabes claimed the bragging rights in the group phase, winning 2-0. However, the two teams are meeting for the first time in the final of the regional competition, with all previous meetings happening in the group stage.

"I think this is an opportunity for us to redeem ourselves, having lost to Burkina Faso in the group stage. Having played them before, we now have an idea of their shape and structure, and we are working on how to capitalise on their weaknesses, while also consolidating on our own strength," Maikaba said. 

 The encounter will also determine the second team from the WAFU B zone to join hosts Ghana in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations finals next year.
