Flying Eagles took energy from the Nigeria Independence Day Celebration to humiliate Morak FC 6-0 in a warm up game on Wednesday morning at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria U20 team have been in camp preparing for the 2024 WAFU B U20 championship in Togo. With three weeks in camp, the Aliyu Zubairu tutored side look ready for the task ahead as the players play together as a team with much understanding of each others' strength and also to the instruction of the coach.

Morak FC which travelled from Warri, Delta State proved stubborn in the first half, conceding only one goal before change of tactics and some players before the Nigeria side tore them apart. Five unreplied goals were recorded in the second half by the free-scoring 2022 WAFU B champions.

Flying Eagles are drawn in Group B of the 2024 WAFU B U20 alongside Burkina Faso and Cote D'ivoire, while Group A consist of Ghana, Togo, Benin and Niger Republic.

The tournament also serves as 2025 CAF U20 African Nations Cup.

The Nigeria side are determined to continue their dominance in West Africa, having won the last edition two years ago which qualified them for the U20 AFCON.

The 2024 WAFU B championship will commence on October 17th in Togo.
