WAFU B U20: Rabiu Abdullahi Helps Eagles Fly Over Water In Friendly Game

Bayelsa United forward, Rabiu Abdullahi's solo effort in the 65th minute of the game was all Flying Eagles needed to show superiority over Water FC, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Nigeria U20 men's football national team, the Flying Eagles on Wednesday morning pipped Water FC 1-0 on a warm up game at the FIFA Goal Project Abuja.

Water FC, one of the best academy in Nigeria that have provided top quality players for all Nigeria's national teams went toe-to-toe with the 2022 WAFU B champions to end the first 45 minutes 0-0.

Despite having not spent up to a week in camp, the Nigeria national team is gradually becoming a formidable one capable of replicating the 2022 feat.

Flying Eagles coach, Ali Zubairu is confident that despite not-too-much time, he can manage to produce a good team capable of overcoming others West African countries at the 2024 WAFU B championship.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship is an association football tournament that is contested between competition contested by national teams of Zone B of the West African Football Union.The current champions are Ghana.
