Nigeria’s Falconets proved their dominance once again as they thrashed Ghana Black Princesses 3-0 on Tuesday morning to lift the WAFU B U20 Girls Cup title in Benin Republic, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Janet Akekoromowei and Ramotalahi Kareem continued their fine scoring form, with Akekoromowei opening the scoring in the 17th minute before Alaba Olabiyi doubled the lead seven minutes later.

The Princesses, who had fallen 1-3 to Nigeria in their earlier meeting at the same Stade Omnisport d’Adjohoun on Saturday, had no answer to the Falconets’ attacking flair.

Akekoromowei, who scored twice in the previous clash against Ghana, and Kareem who netted a brace against Benin Republic were once again instrumental in securing victory for the two-time FIFA U20 World Cup silver-medallists.

The win took Nigeria to nine points with a +8 goal difference, having scored three goals in each of their three matches to finish as champions of the three-nation tournament.

Ghana ended with six points after recording two wins against hosts Benin Republic.

The Falconets will face Benin Republic again on Wednesday morning, but the game will be merely ceremonial as the Nigerians have already sealed the title.
