WAFU B WCAFCL Qualifier: Bayelsa Queens Edge Police FC In Opener

Nigeria Women’s Football League champions, Bayelsa Queens, began their WAFU B Champions League qualifying campaign on a positive note with a hard-fought win over Ghana’s Police FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerians asserted dominance from the outset and broke the deadlock in the 12th minute through Shakirat Moshood.

Emem Essien doubled the lead in the 62nd minute, putting Bayelsa Queens firmly in control.

Police FC responded six minutes later to reduce the deficit, but their push for an equaliser fell short as the Nigerian champions held on to secure all three points.
