Actions started in Group B of the CAF Women's Champions League in Yamoussoukro the capital of Ivory Coast on Sunday and it was a good outing for the Ghanaian side Ampem Darkoa Ladies, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
Coming to the tournament as champions of Ghana after they dethroned Hassacass Ladies.
They faced USFA of Burkina Faso on Sunday afternoon and they recorded an emphatic 3-0 win.
It was Elizabeth Owusua who headed in the opening goal in the 10th minute before an own goal from the USFA defender made it 2-0 just before the break.
Mavis Owusu sealed the game with the third goal in the 89th minute and secured maximum points for Darkoa.
The victory will give the Ghanaian side confidence going into the second match against Nigeria's representative Bayelsa Queens.
