Nigeria's representative in the WAFU B women's champions league qualifier Bayelsa Queens sent a warning signal to teams in the competition with their resounding victory over the Togolese side Athleta Ladies, BSNsports.com.ng understands.

Ampem Darkoa secured a 3-0 win over USFA to open the group on Sunday afternoon.

The Nigeria champions did not allow their results to get into them as they trounced Athleta 5-0 in the second match of the day.

Joseph Miracles opened the floodgates of goals in the 5th minute before Etim Edidong made it 2-0 2 minutes later.

After scoring the second goal, Edidong went on fire in the second half as she scored the 3rd, 4th and 5th goals back to back to make a resounding 5-0 win for Nigeria champions.

The emphatic win took Bayelsa Queen to the top of the group of their rival Ampem Darkoa Ladies via goal difference.
