Flying Eagles goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt faces a selection dilemma as he remains caught between two national team commitments ahead of a crucial international window, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The promising shot-stopper is currently in Abuja with Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, as they intensify preparations for the 2024 WAFU B U20 Championship, which kicks off on July 10 in Ghana. However, his name was also included in the list of 35 invited players for the home-based Super Eagles camp set to open on Monday in Ogun State, creating uncertainty over where his immediate international duties lie.

Speaking exclusively to BSNSports.com.ng on Saturday, Harcourt confirmed his fitness and readiness for the U-20 tournament but admitted the situation has left him in limbo.>

“I am 100 percent fit for the West African Football Union Zone B U20 tournament,” Harcourt said.

“Deciding whether to remain with the Flying Eagles or join the home-based Super Eagles camp is going to be a tough one. I will leave that decision to the team officials to handle,” he added.

Despite the uncertainty, Harcourt expressed strong confidence in the Flying Eagles’ chances at the WAFU B tournament.

“As for the WAFU B U20 competition, we are going there to dominate and win again.”

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) may need to make a final call to resolve the scheduling conflict, ensuring Harcourt is best positioned for both personal development and national interest.
