WAFU Reveals Date, Time, Venue For Nigeria Vs Cote D'ivoire U20 Final

Nigeria's U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, will face Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the 2025 WAFU B U20 Championship on Wednesday, July 23, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Eagles booked their spot in the final after topping Group A with an unbeaten run. The Aliyu Zubairu side opened the tournament with a 1–1 draw against host nation Ghana, followed by a commanding 4–1 win over Benin Republic. In the semifinals, Nigeria held off a determined Niger Republic side, edging them 4–3 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regulation time.

Côte d’Ivoire, meanwhile, topped Group B after a vital 2–0 win over Togo in their final group fixture. The Ivorians demonstrated resilience in their semifinal clash, coming from a goal down to defeat Ghana 2–1 and secure their place in the final.

Following the pre-match technical meeting held on Tuesday, tournament organizers—WAFU—confirmed that the highly anticipated final will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Stadium, Accra.

The clash promises to be a thrilling encounter between two West African powerhouses, with regional bragging rights and a developmental milestone on the line for both nations.
