WAFU U20: 48 Players Sent Home From Nigeria U20 National Team Camp Over Age Cheats

According to reports, a total of 48 Nigeria Professional Football League players have been reportedly caught in age fraud and sent home from the Flying Eagles camp on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng gathered.


The report indicated that the players sent home had correct ages on their international passports, but further checks especially on the Transfer Matching System revealed different age documentation.


The report also confirms that only 20 players out of the 68 Nigeria Professional Football players scaled through the checks.


The Nigeria U20 Camp was declared open last week after the draw which saw Nigeria pitted against Ghana and Burkina Faso in group B of the WAFU B CAF U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Niger next month.
