WCAFCL Qualifier: Owoeye Clinches Woman Of The Match Award, As Delta Queens Thump Sam Nelly

Temitope Owoye was awarded the Woman of the Match award for her superb performance in Delta Queens' final group game against Sam Nelly, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian champions on Friday spanked Sam Nelly of Benin Republic 2-0 at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City, Edo State 

Owoeye Temitope opened the scoring in the 34th minute before Ifeoma Ifitezue wrapped up the game with the second goal in the second half.

The result put Delta Queens on top of the group with 6 points and netted 5 goals while they conceded none.

Owoeye deservedly got the Woman of the Match award with her commanding display as she tormented the backline of Sam Nelly throughout the game.

Delta Queens await the second-place team in Group B for the semi-final games.
