WTT Contender: Portuguese Youngster Knock Out Aruna Quadri In Doha

It was a poor start for Nigeria's table tennis star Aruna Quadri at the World Table Tennis contender in Doha as he bowed out in the first round, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Nigeria star had a decent outing in the just concluded Durban series finishing in the quarter-final but failed to go beyond the first round in Doha.

Playing against a Portuguese qualifier Narco Freitas, Aruna dominated the first round and was able to finish on top.

A decent performance saw Freitas bounce back, showcasing his mettle to win three games on the trot, upsetting the Nigerian star to secure his spot in the next stage (5-11, 11-7, 11-9, 13-11).
