India’s Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Akash Pal maintained their impressive form at the WTT Contender Lagos, defeating Nigeria’s Olajide Omotayo and Solanke Azeez 3–1 to book a place in the next round of the men’s doubles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian duo, last year’s doubles runners-up, started brightly, buoyed by the home crowd’s support.

However, the Indian pair displayed composure and strong coordination, bouncing back after conceding a set and stepping up their game in the decisive moments to seal the win.
